Abstract

Non-action in face of natureis the outstanding characteristic of Laozi's philosophical thinking.This proposition does not mean doing nothing at all and following one's inclination,rather,it instructs people's social life by dialectics,and helps peple to confirm to nature and abide by the laws of the development of things.By integrating such problems as the ecological idea ofTao modeling itself on nature,the life pbilosophy of being at a tranquil state of mind and taking no action reveals the modern value of Laozi's philosophy ofNon-action in face of nature.
