Abstract
Based on a car,for example, the bumper system and the three-dimensional simulation model of impacter were set up by a three-dimensional modeling software CATIA,Hypermesh was used as the pre-processing software and the finite element analysis software ABAQUS was used as the solver.According to the European regulation of ECE-R42,which requires to carry out the front low-speed collision simulation analysis to the front bumper of the car,the entire bumper system deformation and stress distribution were found out during this collision process. Therefore, the experience of setting the simulation model was summarized during the analysis of the simulation result, which was an important reference for the further study of the bumper and vehicle collision simulation.
