Abstract
The sectarian bias of the academic circles in the Late Qing Dynasty was obvious,on the one hand it resulted from environment,on the other by the academy itself developed.In the Late Qing Dynasty,in addition the difficulties domestic and abroad,rulers had to insist inmastering classics and applying it in practicein academy,Which made the debate between the Han school of classical philology and the Song school had to obey politics and changed to been reconciled.As general,Zhang Zhi-dong reconciled the Han school of classical philology and the Song school in order to prove mastering classics and applying it in practicein the first period of educational reformation in the Late Qing Dynasty.
