Abstract

It centers around the network of the next generation.Coming along with the explosive increase of data services in recent years are the urgent requirements for broadband and growing functions for network.The next generation network will be a communication network based on soft-switch system,which leads to the discussion of basic concepts and characteristics,soft-switch system,as well as the intelligent network.The shift from traditional optical network to the next generation is being speeded up with the QoS for telecommunication network guaranteed. The next generation network features multimedia services.
