Abstract

In the paper,it is used of that the mixture of sodium carboxymethyl starch (CMS),sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC) in order to study the synergies between the carboxymethyl polysaccharides and the HPMC,and explain the reason that the viscosification between the CMS and the HPMC. The result show that: for the non-ionic mixed cellulose ether, the Na-CMS and Na-CMC can have certain synergies in the viscosification, and carboxymethyl starch has the more obvious effects in viscosification than the carboxymethyl cellulose.
