Abstract
The paper reviewed several new types of clamping units of precision injection molding machine, analyzed the mechanical principle of some hydraulic structures of clamping units, especially compared the concrete transmission forms of the guidescrew nut in electric toggle clamping unit. Based on it , designed the hydraulic/electric combined clamping unit in small and middle size injection molding machine, which included the structure layout and the design of transmission form. With its advantages of precision and high efficiency distinguished from other clamping units, the designed unit can meet the requirements of precision injection molding of plastics.
