Abstract

The theory of foregrounding occupies an essential position in Stylistics,and it offers an effective approach to the stylistic analysis at the same time.Foregrounding is a linguistic form which is extraordinary from linguistic norms.Plenty of foregrounding is used in Mo Yan’s novels,thus very high artistic achievements have been obtained.This article analyses foregrounding of Mo Yan’s novels in two aspects ― deviation and parallelism.The essay devotes a lot of space to deviation while it analyses foregrounding of Mo Yan’s novels by parallelism,and then briefly makes reference to the shortcomings.
