On the Classical Gardens of Suzhou Modern Park Design Inspiration

Suzhou Classical Gardens have a unique artistic style,and therefore play an important role in the world history of gardening.Many design ideas and design skills of Suzhou Classical Gardens are extremely valuable assets.The design experiences of the designers of these gardens are great inspirations for our modern park design.The thesis analyzes the history,overall layout and artistic features of Suzhou Classical Gardens first.Then,the thesis discusses the inspirations from Suzhou Classical Gardens for modern park design in the areas of function area,style element,stack stones and dig pool,planting,architectural style,etc.Also discussed is how to consolidate modern park design considerations factors with the concepts and principles of the ancient Chinese gardeners.It was hoped that this would promote the design and construction of modern parks and gardens.
