Application of Chinese Soil Taxonomy in Zhangpu Research Area of Fujian Province

Abstract
According to Chinese Soil Taxonomy,the main diagnostic horizons and diagnostic characteristics of 18 pedons in Zhangpu research area are identified,by which the high category classification of soils in research area has been done.Based on the technical standards of classifying soil series in Chinese Soil Taxonomy,the principle,basis and guide line of classifying soil series in research area are identified,by which the categories of soil series in Zhangpu research area are classified.The classification correlation between soil genetic classification and Chinese Soil Taxonomy of main soil types in the study area is discussed also.
