Abstract
Objective To investigate the variety of erythrocyte membrane cholesterol and erythrocyte filtration index(EFI) in early patients with severe burn and its significance.Methods Use percolate to measure the EFI,and use chemically modi-fied electrode to measure the erythrocyte membrane cholesterol.Results The erythrocyte membrane cholesterol in early patients with severe burn was higher than that of the control group,the EFI was lower than that of the control group( P 0 01),and there was negative correlation( r =-0 801 ) Comclusion Increase of the erythrocyte membrane cholesterol contentrations may be one of the main factors causing the EFI decrease for early patients with severe burn.
