Study on Species Diversity and Structure of Plant Communities in Karamay

The species diversity and structure of plant communities in Karamay were studied based on field investigation data and by using diversity,richness and evenness indices.The results showed that the species diversity and evenness of the communities are in the order of Haloxylon ammodendron+Suaeda glauca Karelinia caspia.Populus euphratica Suaeda glauca +Ephedra Tamarix Reaumuria soengarica Salsola collina Haloxylon ammodendron Phragmites australis Halocnemum strobilaceum Nitraria+Tamarix.The diversity and richness of shrub layer and the diversity and richness of shrub and arbor community are higher than those of herb community,but the evenness of arbor,shrub and herb community have no significant difference.
