Abstract

Trauma and diseases caused cartilage defect in clinical practice is common.Since almost no cartilage repair capacity,the study of articular cartilage repair the damage in recent years has become an important subject of the basic orthopedic clinical study as well as one of the difficult problems in medical circle.Many scholars have made a study of it.During the period of nearly 20 years,with the development of cell biology and biological materials science,a new disciplines——tissue engineering born.Using tissue engineering principles and methods to cartilage tissue regeneration provides a new thought and way in repairing cartilage defects.Especially in recent years,the successful development of three-dimensional biodegradable materials and continuously improvement of cell culture technology,which provides the tissue engineering cartilage defect repair in clinical application for a broad prospect.
