Abstract
To obtain the optimal transfer trajectory of low thrust spacecraft, a fast gauss pseudospectral method was proposed. First, the non-dimensional optimization model of interplanetary low thrust trajectory was established to improve solution accuracy. Then the legendre pseudospectral method based on legendre gauss quadrature nodes was used to translate the optimal control problem into a parameter optimization problem with multi-constrains. Taking the Mars and Venus missions as the examples, the proposed gauss pseudospectral approach was validated. Simulation results demonstrate that gauss pseudospectral model is a promising method for low thrust trajectory optimization.
