Abstract

The modified difference equation near the sharp metal edge in FDTD grid is presented in this paper. In order to test the efficiency of new FDTD equations,we use a stripline and V-shape antenna, which have two sharp edges diagonal to the cell cube in FDTD grid.Compared with staircase approximation, a dramatic improvement in computed accuracy is observed.
