Abstract
Objective To discuss the diagnostic value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound and fine needle aspiration in the thyroid nodule. Methods Twenty-six thyroid nodules were examined by two dimensional and color doppler ultrasonography.Following the contrast-enhanced ultrasound,we observed the beginning of contrast agent enhancement, the peak and dissipation as a whole, and analyzed the time-intensity curve with ACQ software.Meanwhile, the fine needle aspiration cytology(FNAC) was done under the guidance of ultrasound and all nodules were examined pathologically. Results Compared with the pathological report after operation, the accurate diagnosis ratio of the innocent thyroid nodule was 94.6%,and the malignant thyroid nodule was 100% when the results of contrast-enhanced ultrasound and fine needle aspiration in the thyroid nodule was considered. Conclusion Contrast-enhanced ultrasound and fine needle aspiration can provide more information for the diagnosis of thyroid nodules, which could raise the accurate diagnosis ratio before operation.
