Abstract
In this paper,the drought resistance and its mechanism of four cool-season turfgrass under water stress were studied by pot culture method.The results showed as follows: 1) The appearance quality and leaf relative water decreased with the increase of water stress,however,the cell membrane permeability,MDA and proline content of four cool-season turfgrass increased significantly(P0.05).2)The ranking of the drought tolerance for four cool-season turfgrass based on the comprehensive evaluation was tall fescueperennial ryegrassbluegrasscreeping bentgrass.
