Abstract

Objective:To observe the effect of Diabetes on periodontal tissue in periodontitis rats and the distribution of iNOS in gingiva. Methods:After diabetes periodontitis model were established, the tissue sections were stained for histological and immunohistochemistry examination of iNOS to oberserve the damage of periodontal tissue and the distribution of iNOS in gingiva. Results:The loss of the connective tissue attachment and alveolar bone in Diabetes Periodontitis group were significantly higher than other groups(P0.05).the expression of iNOS was positive or strongly positive in Diabetes periodontitis group and Deriodontitis group; The expression was weakly postive in normal group. Conclusion:Diabetes play a role in promoting the damage of periodontium.
