Abstract

The proper conditions are given in the process of 4 bromo 1 bromomethy1 benzene by brominating 4 bromo toluene with bromine:the rate of 4 bromo 1 bromomethy1 benzene and bromine is 1:0.95,the temperarure is 98℃~102℃.The crude product is washed and recrystallized by mixed solvent.Thus the purity is 99.3%,the yield is about 60%.
