The Clinic Observation of Minimally Invasive Endoscopy-assisted Surgery of the Thyroid

Abstract

Objective:To develop minimally invasive endoscopy assisted surgery of the thyroid.Methods: an incision was made 3 cm above the thymus notch and the operation was performed under endoscopy for thyroidectomy and sub total thyroidectomy. Results: all 12 cases were successful and no complications occured. Conclusions: compared with conventional thyroidecomy,minimally invasive endoscopy assisted surgey of the thyroid is an effective operation and can bring about good cosmetic result.
