Abstract
The semi-solid processing technology,comprised of the preparation and forming technology of semi-solid slurry or billet,has been widely used to process magnesium alloy.AZ91D is one of the most successful magnesium alloys in research and industrial applications.In this paper,the semi-solid processing technology and its characteristics were introduced and the latest status and research progress for processing technology of semi-solid AZ91D magnesium alloy were overviewed,including the microstructure,forming process and the mechanical property of semi-solid magnesium alloy.Meanwhile,the developing prospect and gist along with the existing problem of semi-solid processing technology were pointed out and discussed.
