Abstract
Objective:To study a new cockroach bait. Methods:Food attractants to Blattella germanica were screened using four arm olfactometer, and different baits which contained food attractants and pesticides were assessed in laboratory. Results:No.1 animal fodder has obvious attraction to the cockroach. 0 1% fipronil was of effective control result. The mortality reached 100% in 48 h.The LD 50 was 80 68±2 51 Conclusion:The bait, which consisted of 0 1% fipronil and No.1 animal fodder, has strong capability to attract and kill the cockroach. The population of Blattella germanica could be thoroughly destroyed and difficult to recover after using this mixture.
