Abstract
Forest ecosystem is the main carbon pool of the terrestrial ecosystem and plays a key role in carbon balance.With Kyoto Protocol operation and UN climate change conference held in Copenhagen,the problem of forest carbon storage has been paid much attention.Accurately estimating forest carbon storage is becoming one of hot topics in forest carbon cycling.Based on literatures review,methods,biomass inventory,growing stock,biomass regression model,modeling and remote sensing estimation,micro-meteorology of forest carbon storage calculation have been commented.Both advantages and disadvantages of the methods were pointed out.
