Interpreting the Cultural Significance of "Ming Fei Qu

Abstract

Fei Qu is not only filled with the author──Wang Anshi's regnt to society and life, but is philosophical as well. Wang Anshi appraises Wang Zhaojun's fate from a new viewpoint-full of sympathy and commendation, hence it shows an interesting new approach and embodies the anti-tradition spirit of Wang Anshi. Besides, it criticizes the emperor. Ming Fei Qu shows its antique artistic style on the descriptions of image of Zhao Jun and the discussion, etc.
