On The Development of The Private Higher Education in Japan

Japanese private higher education has developed very well and so many private colleges and universities are famous all over the world.Compared with Japan,Chinese private higher education need to be developed greatly.This paper,through a review of the development of Japanese private higher education,concludes that many of the practices conducted by Japanese private educational institutions are useful to us.For example,their governmental legislation of private higher education and the governmental substantial support for private colleges and universities;and their expansion of multi-functions of higher education,the diversities of their enrollment system,and their countermeasures for the educational quality descending etc.
