Abstract
ObjectiveTo investigate the relations between task performance and contextual performance and job performance.MethodsUsing the evaluation questionnaires for soldiers’ job performance, 1068 soldiers’ job performance were evaluated by eight officers and soldiers from the same company.ResultsThere were significant correlation between overall job performance of solders and their task performance(r=0.58), and significant correlation between overall job performance of solders and their contextual performance(r=0.71).Task performance and contextual performance contributed independently to overall job performance. Contextual performance played a role to influence overall job performance bigger than task performance.ConclusionJob performance consists of two dimensions of task performance and contextual performance, and task performance and contextual combine to impose influences on overall job performance.
