Security Mechanisms of Wireless Local Area Network

Wireless local area network has become a significant part of computer network in the last two years, and its application field also has been widened quickly. This article introduces some basic concept on wireless local area network, studies some mechanisms and methods that can ensure the confidentiality of the data transferred by wireless local area network and achieve identity authentication, and enhanes the security of access point, all of which are based on 802.11 protocol of wireless local area network ,This article also analyzes some protocols that enhance the security of wireless local area network. At last there is a scheme of insuring the security of wireless area network based on our eountrys standard.
