Comparison and analysis of physical fitness test of child health indicators between 2002 and 2007

Objective:To understand the development situation of body shape of 3-6 years old children in Yantai city.Methods:The body shapes(height,weight and chest circumference) of 861 children who were 3～6 years old and came from urban and rural of Yantai were determined in 2007 and compared with the results of 2002.Results:There was no distinctly difference in height of 3-6 years old children between urban and rural.The height of children was showing a tendency to rise,but there was no difference between 2002 and 2007(P0.05).The weight grew by an average of 1.8 kg in urban children and 1.3 kg in rural children.The weight growth of urban children was significantly higher than that of rural children(P0.01).The body was stronger,growth and development was better for the 3-6 years old children.Conclusion:The body shapes(height,weight and chest circumference) are showing a tendency to rise,the growth and development are better.The economic level,consumption level and dietetic structure are the main reason of having difference between urban and rural in the growth and development of children.
