Abstract
Based on the analyses of the hydrological and sediment data measured on site, calculations and analyses are made on the benefit to gain from the reduction of siltation by further extending both north and south breakwaters in Tianjin Port.It is feasible to extend the entrance to the port to 15+0.The siltation may be reduced by about 60% in the whole port while the size of the port can be further enlarged.
