On the History of the Xie's Clan in the Six Dynasties Period

The Xie's Clan(谢氏)is a less aristocratic family,which had been neglected by older clans for a long time.By mid-Eastern Jin,with the children of the Xie's family mastering military power,the political forces of the family began to be strong,finally,the Xie members grasped the military and political powers of Eastern Jin Dynasty and the Xie Clan became top-ranking clan in the middle and later Eastern Jin Dynasty.After Southern Dynasties,The Xie's Clan gradually lost their power owing to the weakening of family politics,and thoroughly declined in the latter Southern Dynasties.
