Abstract
The GPS software recevier is more flexible than GPS hardware receiver.It upgrades the system perform- ance and has unexampled advantage becase it is prone to realize more complex arithmetic under special background. The paper places emphasis on a single frequency GPS software recevier based on PC.The GPS signal gets down- coverted to an intermediate frequency by the RF front-end.Then the IF is sampled and transmitted to the PC by the data collection beard.And all the data processing is done in PC,including signal acquisition,signal tracking and posi- tion calculations.The hardware that collects data and the algorithm of data processing are discussed in the paper.The system has been tested and the result indicates that the system works well and the precision is satisfactory.
