Abstract
Cotton bollworm (Helicoverpa armigera H.) was collected from our cotton field and selected for 16 generations among 21 ones in our laboratory, using artificial diet mixed with Bt toxic protein (Cry1Ac). Compared to that at F 2(0.2972 g·L 1 ),the value of LC 50 at F 19 ( 4.3646 g·L 1 )was increased by 14.7 folds. Female bollworms were more susceptible to Bt toxin than the males. By testing the dose death rate regression with different types of commercial Bt products (Dipel and Xentari) before and after the selection, it was found that cross resistance among different types of commercial Bt products was insignificant.
