Abstract

Maraviroc is a selective, slowly reversible, small molecule antagonist that interacts with human CCR5 and HIV-1 gp120,and prevents CCR5-tropic HIV-1 entry into cells. In this paper,we reviewed the pharmacology, pharmacokinetics and drug interactions, the efficacy and safety in the treatment for adult patients infected only with detectable CCR5-tropic HIV-1.
