Abstract

A new TGS-PVDF composite material film has been prepared and investigated. The dielectric constant and loss tangent (tan δ) as well as pyroelectric coefficient of the new film material have been measured and discussed. The pyroelectric figure of merit of the new material has been calculated and compared with that of TGS crystal, The performances of the pyroelectric detector made from the composite material have been measured.
