Research on water environment of Danjiangkou Reservoir

In order to master water quality variation of Danjiangkou Reservoir,which is the water sources area of middle route project of south-to-north water diversion,the overall analysis on water pollution condition in various areas in Danjiangkou Reservoir area is conducted based on multi-year measured water quality data.The analysis results show that according to the national standard,in general,the water quality of Danjiangkou Reservoir is good,meeting Ⅱ classification surface water quality of China;however,due to quick economic development,the water quality is worsening,and the point pollution is still severe or even getting worse,eutrophication in partial reservoir bays appears and some potential pollution sources exists.At present,the monitoring of water quality in the reservoir should be strengthened and some pollution control measures should be taken to guarantee water sources quality for south to north water diversion project.
