THE expression and prognostic significanct of osteopontin in primary hepatocellular carcinoma

Abstract

Objective To investigate the expression and prognostic significance of osteopontin in primary hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods The expression of OPN in 42 primary HCC and 4 normal liver was detected using SP Immunohistochemical technique.Results ①OPN expression was mainly in the cytoplasm of cell,the positive rate of OPN in HCC cell was higher than that in normal liver cell(P0.01.②OPN positivity was remarkably correlated with the invasion and metastasis(P0.05).③OPN is the passitie factor in the prognosis of HCC.Conclusion OPN expression was higher in HCC and its significantly related to the prognosis of HCC.
