Abstract

The increase of immigration problems in the U.S has heated again the debate over Immigration Act reform.U.S.public splits on attitude towards the 12 million illegal immigrants currently in the U.S which generally have more positive than negative effects on U.S.at large.The House of Representatives and the Senate passed different versions of new Immigration Act.Bush Administration holds tough stands on anti-illegal immigrants,and also proposes legalization of the status of illegal immigrants.Though the final Immigration Act is unpredictable,the soft version,strengthening border control while legalizing illegal immigrants,has been a common ground.
