Abstract
Dry seeds of alfalfa variety Longmu803 were treated in magnetic field free space,A new alfalfa line LS0301 was selected among mutations evaluated by turn green date, turn green rate, dry grass yield, rude protein content index and disease resistance.Through several years of comparative field tests compared with Longmu803 indicating that turn green day for LS0301 is 1~3 days earlier, turn green rate is 1~2% higher, dry grass yield is 17.94% higher, rude protein content index is 5.01% higher, and new alfalfa line LS0301 has some resistance to brown blot and powdery mildew. An analysis of RAPD polymorphism showed that magnetic field free space have made alfalfa DNA sequence change, different places.Magnetic field free space is a useful method for crop breeding.
