Abstract

The of urban and rural not only requires innovation of educational system,but also requires the elimination of cultural gap between city and countryside and the of urban and rural culture.Cultural perspective helps free us from discussing integration of urban and rural education with the thinking pattern of considering urban and rural culture separately.Despite the historical and realistic basis for the of Chinese urban and rural culture,the binary segmentation of urban and rural system since the foundation of PRC leads to the cultural alienation between city and countryside.Based on an understanding of cultural diversity and the spirit of cultural consciousness,it is easy to develop Modern Chinese Culture,in which both urban culture and rural culture share common-recognized basic rules and principles for coexistence.In order to promote the of urban and rural education,curriculum,educational objectives and educational methods need to be restructured on the basis of Modern Chinese Culture.
