Abstract
The profound culture of Chu Hsi's Neo-Confucianism was an important cause of less inscription novels in Fujian in the period of Ming and Qing Dynasty,even though vernacular novels were inscribed earlier in Fujian where inscription novels were prevailing.Although Yang Ming's Philosophy activated frequently in the original position of Cheng-Zhu Neo-Confucianism in Anhui and Jiangxi,it was Jiangyou Neo-Confucianism that got the quintessence of Yang Ming school.As a Revisionist School of Yang Ming's Philosophy,Jiangyou Neo-Confucianism was more consistent with the Chen-Zhu Neo-Confucianism.Jiangsu and Zhejiang area,an economically developed district,was submerged long in the fertile soil of Chen-Zhu Neo-Confucianism and leftist of Wang School.Precisely these factors contribute a lot to make Jiangsu and Zhejiang a central area to develop the vernacular novels which is full of secularity and enlightenment in the period of late Ming and early Qing Dynasties.
