Abstract

In this paper,we provide new method of transfer matrixs studying the photonic band gap of one-dimensional (1D) photonic crystals. Using this method ,we have calculated the photonic band gap structures of 1D crystals consisting of components with different dielectric constants and geometric structures . The changing of photonic band gap in 1-D doped photonic crystal is also discussed .
