Abstract
Objective It is to discuss the changes of serum levels of C reactive protein(CRP) at different stages of diabetic nephropathy and its meaning. Methods 30 cases of normal control group and 90 cases of type 2 diabetes were chosen. The diabetes patients were divided into normal proteinuria group, microalbuminuria group and clinical proteinuria group according to urinary albumin excretory rate. The CRP levels were determined. Results The serum levels of CRP in type 2 diabetes patients were higher than that in normal control group. The CRP levels were increased with increment of urinary albumin excretory rate.CRP was correlated with triacylglycerol and cholesterol. Conclusion The CRP levels are correlated with the degree of diabetic nephropathy.
