Abstract

Objective:To sum up experience of treating intracranial aneurysm by intravascular embolization with Guglielmi detachable coil(GDC).Methods:Four cases of intracranial aneurysm, whose body/neck ratio of the aneurysm was larger than 2 and whose aneurysm had been confirmed by digital subtraction angiography(DSA),underwent intravascular embolization with GDC.Results:This procedure was quite successful in embolizing aneurysms, and no complication or death occurred. Conclusions:Intravascular embolization with GDC is easy, safe and effective in the reatment of intracranial saccular aneurysms.
