Abstract
During the Hongwu years of Ming dynasty, the poets made an approach to Tang poetics from three ways. Those were the periods of Tang poetry, the evolution of Tang poetry and the creative tendency of praising prosperity years. Under the background, Appreciation of Tang Poems appeared. It divided the history of Tang poetry into four periods, acknowledged the forms and styles of Tang poetry, and believed the prosperity Tang poetry best. It set up the Tang poetics of the early Ming dynasty, and became the important selections of Tang poetry in Ming dynasty.
