Abstract
Objective To investigate the change of diffusing capacity and its correlation with other lung function parameters in patients with lung cancer.Methods Lung function was tested in 126 cases of lung cancer and 84 normal controls.Results The DLCO% and DLCO/VA% in patients with lung cancer were 69.47±23.88、79.51±23.09 respectively,which were significantly different from those in controls(P0.05).The DLCO% and DLCO/VA% were positively correlated with VC%、FEV1%、FVC%、FEV1/FVC%、MVV%,especially with FEV1% and MVV%(γ=0.51,0.31,0.66,0.46).The DLCO% and DLCO/VA% were negativly correlated with RV/TLC(γ=-0.40,-0.41).DLCO% and DLCO/VA% were 78.56±21.35、89.13±19.88 in lung cancer patients without chronic pulmonary disease,which were lower than those in control group(P0.05).DLCO% decreased in lung cancer patients with different types of ventilation function.DLCO% was 54.84±15.07 and 54.36±24.4 in patients with obstructive and mixed ventilation dysfunction,which was significantly lower than that in normal ventilation group(P0.01).DLCO/VA% was 65.06±15.99、70.94±28.29 in patients with obstructive and mixed ventilation dysfunction,which was significantly lower than that in other groups(P0.01).In patients with lung cancer,DLCO% and DLCO/VA% decreased markedly in patients with different degree of pulmonary emphysema(P0.05).Conclusion The diffusing capacity decreases in the patients with lung cancer.The related factors include ventilation function,acompanied chronic pulmonary disease and pulmonary emphysema.The diffusing function parameters have a close relationship with the markers of ventilation function and pulmonary emphysema.The diffusing function should be detected before operation or chemotherapy in patients with lung cancer.
