Abstract
In order to study the roof movement of fully mechanized mining coal face under soft surrounding rock conditions, according to field engineering geological characteristics, the damage course of the coal face is researched by numerical simulation and simulate material model. With simulate material model test, the structure of immediate roof and main roof and the periodical weighting distance of coal face is determined. With numerical simulation, the stress distribution in the overburden and the support resistance characteristics under soft rock conditions are analysed, which can provide bases for the selection of the support for coal face and engineering management in practice.
