Abstract

Many scholars probe into the role of Su Shi's Ci in the development of Ci from perspectives such as the concept of composing Ci as poetry or the concept of rhythm.The paper attempts to analyze various prefaces of Su Shi's Ci to find out Su Shi's attitude towards Ci's function and characteristics so as to track the cultural value orientation of Su Shi's Ci.
