Abstract
Domestic pigs are important domesticated animals,the realization of their origin,domestication,and expansion depended on the activities and migrates of humans.It is significant to study the origins and domestications of pigs.Here we introduced the characteristics of domestic pigs and wild pigs,and archaeological evidences for origin and domestication of domestic pigs,and especially reviewed the research advancement of molecular biological evidences for origin and domestication of domestic pigs.
