Abstract
Objective To make a clear understanding of the sensitivity of main malaria vectors to pyrethroid in Sichuan province and to provide the evidence for using pyrethroid to control Anopheles. Methods The compulsive test tube recommended by WHO was used, the mosquitoes were contacted the test paper for 30 minutes and recovered for 24 hours, then the living and dead mosquitoes were checked and the corrected death rate was calculated. Results The mean corrected death rate of Anopheles anthropophagus was 100% and the mean corrected death rate of Anopheles sinensis was 90.86% . Conclusion It is still effective in Sichuan to impregnate mosquito nets with pyrethroid for the control of malaria.
