On the Design of Residential Area Environment

Although it is the smallest part of the landscape architecture involved, residential area environment design is one of the most important contents of landscape design in recent China. There are two problems in the residential area environment design. First,it is disjointed with the city and the district. Second, it disregards infrastructure and abuses style and form.This paper gives some practical projects as examples and points out that the concept of space and scenery factors of function facilities must be emphasized in residential area environment design.
