Abstract

Chlorophyll-a concentration in water is one of the most basic indices for water quality. The reflectance spectra of water from Miyun reservoir were measured by an ASD Fieldspec spectrometer and the water samples were collected synchronously. The Chlorophyll-a concentration was correlated to the features of the hyperspectral reflectance, and therewerethree modelsestablishedfor assessingChlorophyll-a concentration. The results showed that reflectance first-derivative spectra were better correlated with water cholorophyll-a concentration, and the Chlorophyll-a concentration in Miyun Reservoir could be better estimated by derivative spectral reflectance.
